Master Bathroom Design Layout – Introduction
Master bathroom design layout is an important aspect of any home’s interior decoration. In the past, these master bathrooms were just seen as a space with more utilities and functionalities. However, things have changed now and people have started giving quite a lot of importance to the design or the aesthetics aspects of the bathroom. And as these bathrooms are more spacious and larger than the regular bathrooms, there are several design options that one can dabble with.
Master Bathroom Design Layout – Bathtub
The main objective of a modern master bathroom design layout would be to add some elegance and luxury to the space. A sumptuous bathroom in the center of the bathroom would be a good idea, as this location would allow the individual to have a look at all the corners of the bathroom from the tub. It also makes it possible to walk around the bathtub. The master bathtub should be placed ideally below the skylight so that there would be some natural light flow during a bath and also no privacy sacrifices. If need be, then a television can also be mounted on one of the walls so that the individual can see some of his favorite movies or TV shows while bathing.
Master Bathroom Design Layout – Sinks
It does not matter whether the master bathroom is used by a single individual or by multiple people, having two sinks in a master bathroom is a must. The two sinks give the feeling that the bathroom has lots of space. The two sinks can be connected with a single vanity cabinet. The vanity cabinet should be placed in between the two sinks so that there is clear division between the two sinks. Ideally, the sinks should be placed closed to the window so that there is quite a lot of natural light flowing in when the individual looks into the mirror. The sinks should be installed on the opposite sides of the bathtub and the toilet area should be isolated and kept at some distance.
Master Bathroom Design Layout – Shower
If there is a spa shower, then it should be placed either on the left or right of the bath, and it should offer more than what an ordinary shower would give. The shower area should be surrounded by a glass structure, so that it becomes easier for natural light to seep through. A large bench and some multiple jets can be added to the shower area for luxury.
Master Bathroom Design Layout – Other Fixtures
There is always some space on the opposite side of the shower. This space can be used to add some design and also fit in a bit more fixtures and accessories. A mirror and a vanity table would be perfect fixtures, and it would also make it easier to use the natural light to one’s advantage. And if one is a fitness freak, then placing an elliptical machine or a treadmill would be great for some private and quick early morning workout. Other than the design options mentioned above; wall color, tiles, furniture, doors, etc. are some of the other aspects that would play a major role in master bathroom design layout plans.
